Taiwan's Fourth Manpower Demand Survey This Year: 51,000 New Demands
According to the “United Daily News” report, in order to understand the manpower demand in the job market at the end of January next year, the department conducted a “manpower demand survey” from October 3 to October 21 for institutions with more than 30 employees, and recovered 3018 valid samples. indivual.
The survey found that 24.5% expected to increase manpower, 3.5% expected to decrease manpower, 63.8% expected to maintain unchanged manpower demand, and 8.2% were unable to predict; the net increase in the number of people in demand is expected to be 51,000.
The department stated that the global economic climate has cooled, market demand has weakened, and export momentum has weakened, resulting in a slowdown in manpower demand in industries related to foreign demand. However, with the gradual relaxation of immigration control on the island, the gradual relaxation of epidemic prevention regulations, and the arrival of the peak consumption season of the Spring Festival and winter holidays, the domestic demand service industry will continue to hire more employees. Therefore, it is estimated that the demand for manpower will slightly cool down by the end of January next year, but it will still be at a high level.
The survey shows that this quarter, the demand for manpower in the industrial sector is expected to increase by 22,000, and the service sector will increase by 29,000. Observed by industry category, the net increase of 18,000 people in the manufacturing industry was the largest, followed by the net increase of 7,000 people in the accommodation and catering industry. Observed by occupational category, the net increase of 16,000 technicians, mechanical equipment operators and assembly personnel was the largest, followed by 14,000 technicians and assistant professionals, and the third was the net increase of 10,000 service and sales personnel.
As for the main reasons for the increase in manpower, “company expansion or diversification” accounted for the most at 62.5%, followed by “supplementary retirees” at 20%.
