Taiwan’s “epidemic command center” announced on the 25th that there were 5,108 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and 113 imported cases, of which 106 were positive on the ground.
According to media reports such as “United Daily News” and Zhongshi News Network, the person in charge of the “epidemic epidemic command center” said that the “key epidemic investigation” will be implemented, and the self-contained epidemic investigation mechanism will be launched. Originally, the epidemic investigation was pushed forward by 4 days from the date of onset and diagnosis of the confirmed person, but now it has been changed to 2 days; and the target of epidemic investigation has been narrowed from those whose activity trajectories overlapped to only Kuang-listed family members. The method of epidemic adjustment has been changed to the self-reporting of the confirmed patients to the health department.
In addition, starting from the 26th, the home quarantine policy has been shortened from the current “10+7” to “3+4”, that is, those who are quarantined at home will be changed to “3-day home quarantine” plus “4-day self-prevention”. For the next 4 days, if the screening test is negative every day, you can wear a mask to go out to work and buy, but you cannot go to school, dinner parties, etc.
However, some county and city officials believe that the new plan is only to reduce the time of home isolation. If the relevant administrative procedures are not simplified, the administrative workload of various localities will still be heavy. Some medical experts also believe that the reduction of home isolation to 3 days is too short and the safety is insufficient.
On that day, the press conference of the “epidemic command center”, which is usually held in the afternoon, was held as late as 6 p.m. Taiwan media reports believe that the delay in whether to shorten the number of home isolation days has led to the delay of the press conference on that day.
According to reports, 1 new severe case and 15 moderately ill cases were added that day. So far, Taiwan has a total of 112 moderately severe cases. The new severe case is a man in his 80s who has kidney and neurological disease and received two doses of the vaccine.
As of now, a total of 61,686 new coronary pneumonia cases have been diagnosed in Taiwan, including 51,170 local cases and 856 deaths.
