On April 18, after confirming that Geely will enter the “rocket” field, Yang Xueliang, vice president of Geely Automobile Group, stated on his official personal account that the satellites issued at the end of the year were developed and manufactured by Geely, and the rockets that launched these two satellites were still bought. More plans will be announced on China Aerospace Day, April 24.
Yang Xueliang said that the two low-orbit satellites designed by Space-Time Daoyu have now passed various qualification tests and tests and are scheduled to be launched within the year. The low-orbit satellite layout will provide high-precision positioning services for high-level intelligent driving and comprehensively enhance the user’s travel experience. In 2020, the world’s first commercial low-orbit navigation enhancement system will also be verified. The core technology of the space segment, ground segment, and application segment of this system is completely autonomous.
It is understood that on April 17th, some netizens discovered that Zhejiang Space-Time Daoyu Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Geely Technology Group, released a message for recruiting rocket engineers. Subsequently, Yang Xueliang issued a microblog confirming that Geely will be involved in the “rocket” field.
