Chinese Spacecraft Will Go To The Moon To Sample

Recently, Wenchang City in Hainan Province issued a special notice on the government homepage, stating that it will strengthen airspace control in the next two days. At the same time, China will accomplish a feat in the next few days, which is of great strategic significance. US media reported that if successful, it will be the first in the world in 40 years.
Chinese Spacecraft Will Go To The Moon To Sample

1. China’s “Moon Sampling” will be the world’s first in 40 years

According to a report from the World Wide Web on November 23, the Long March 5 series of carrier rockets, together with the “Chang’e 5” probe, will soon launch an impact on the moon and complete a “moon sampling” mission. American media stated that if the mission is successful, China will become the first country to retrieve a lunar sample from the 1970s to the present. In the same way, China will be the third country in history to retrieve lunar samples after the United States and the Soviet Union.

2. All departments work together to wait for the best launch time

On November 21, the various departments of the “Chang’e-5” lunar exploration mission were ready to launch. The major launch centers across the country communicated with each other intensively, waiting for the best launch time.
“Chang’e 5” is part of China’s sixth round of lunar exploration. According to experts, after the “Chang’e 5” enters the lunar orbit, it will split into two immediately. Subsequently, the lander will land on the surface of the moon, and the orbiter will wait to return. The “Chang’e-5” probe will bring back samples of lunar soil and gravel, and it is planned to land in Inner Mongolia in mid-December.
The purpose of this mission is to allow scientists to learn about the history of geological changes and solar activity and other extremely important information.

3. This round of lunar exploration mission is the most difficult so far

This round of lunar exploration is China’s most difficult lunar exploration so far.
Since 1969, American astronauts have carried out 7 moon landings on the “Apollo”. The total weight of lunar samples collected during this period was close to 400 kg.
In 1970, the Soviet Union dispatched a robotic probe-“Lunar 16” to implement sampling missions. It mainly uses automatic drilling machines to excavate samples of lunar soil and gravel.
The US media said that China’s moon exploration, planet enthusiasts all over the world are looking forward to it. “Chang’e 5” may bring back answers to difficult questions such as “the history of lunar volcanic activity” for scientists around the world.
The deputy chief scientist of NASA said that this is a very bold mission. Only when China passes this barrier can the global lunar exploration program move forward drastically.
Since traces of frozen water were found in the crater, people have regained interest in returning to the moon. NASA has decided that in the next few years, astronauts will board the Artemis for a new round of moon landings. In 2019, a non-profit organization in India and Israel tried to send a spacecraft to the moon, but failed twice in a row and the spacecraft crashed.
