The reporter learned from Xiamen Customs that the Xiamen Customs-owned Dongdu Customs recently seized 3.2 million medical masks suspected of being declared as non-medical masks. This is by far the largest number of unregistered export medical supplies seized in the customs area.
On April 15th, a medical supplies company declared to export a batch of non-medical masks to the customs by way of a combined ticket, with the number of declarations reaching 3.2 million. When the customs on-site inspection department reviewed the documents, it was found that the execution standard of the enterprise to submit the inspection report was YY0469-2011 standard for medical surgical masks. After careful inspection by the on-site inspection customs officers, it was found that the packaging of the masks was marked with the word “surgical” in English, and the actual product names It is a “classic ear-hook surgical mask”, and the manufacturer of the outer packaging is inconsistent with the data provided. At present, the batch of goods has been handed over to subsequent departments for disposal.
The customs department reminds export enterprises that when determining whether the exported anti-epidemic materials are medical materials, they are determined based on the attributes of the commodities themselves rather than the declared uses. If the medical materials are falsely reported as non-medical materials, the customs will punish them severely according to law.
