China Center For Disease Control Supports Suifenhe To Build Negative-Pressure Tent-Type Mobile Laboratory

The Center for Viral Disease Control and Prevention of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention sent a laboratory test team of 15 experts today (12th) from Beijing to go to Suifenhe City, Heilongjiang Province to assist in the prevention and control of imported COVID-19 cases. After this team arrives, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention will have 22 experts in supervision, regulation, killing and laboratory testing in Suifenhe City to take part in the epidemic. Recently, the COVID-19 epidemic has spread rapidly in many countries. With the continuous increase of imported cases, the pressure of epidemic prevention in Suifenhe, a small town with a population of 70,000 on the border between China and Russia, has increased dramatically. As of 24:00 on April 10, 31 provinces imported a total of 1183 confirmed cases, including 173 cases in Suifenhe, accounting for nearly 15%.
After the COVID-19 laboratory testing team arrives, a negative pressure tent-type mobile laboratory will be set up within a few hours to quickly and independently carry out experimental activities. The laboratory has an independent exhaust system, which meets the protection requirements of the third-level biosafety laboratory. It will become a key area for nucleic acid testing and scientific research during the assistance of the testing team. It will undertake many tasks such as laboratory screening and observation. The daily detection capacity of Suifenhe Disease Control Center is also expected to increase by more than 1,000 copies, which will play a key role in early detection, early diagnosis and early admission of epidemic prevention and control.
