China is a country with the most land in the world. The vast area has already made many countries envy, and our country has a wide variety of topography. Not only are there towering mountains, but there are also very vast plains. Of course, what surprises everyone is our basin.
1.Junggar Basin
It is the highest latitude basin in China, located between the Tianshan Mountains and the Altai Mountains. It is high in the east and low in the west, wide in the south and narrow in the north, presenting an irregular triangle. It is China’s second largest inland basin.
The bottom of the Junggar Basin also has an inter-age double basement structure: the upper part is the Late Hercynian fold basement, and the lower part is the Cambrian crystalline basement. I have to say that it is really long across the ages. The central part of the basin is China’s second largest desert, the Gurbantungut Desert, which accounts for 37% of the total area of the basin.
2.Sichuan Basin
I believe that everyone in this place will not feel unfamiliar, because this place has experienced earthquakes that shocked the world for many years. In that year, all of us were in a very sad mood. How many relatives died like this. Fortunately, with the help of everyone, Sichuan was finally rebuilt and everything returned to its original state.
The main feature here is that it is connected to many mountains. Although the area is only 16 square kilometers, its real value goes beyond that. Moreover, this basin actually occupies most of the population of Sichuan and Chongqing. Many people will travel from many far away places. It can be imagined that the scenery here is still good.
In addition, here is the place where the Bashu culture was born. Historically, the geographical location here is completely blocked from the outside. This condition was a very favorable condition for wars in ancient times. It can help those who fight and occupy a favorable environment. In addition, there are many historical stories of people here. The original Bashu culture was also born here, which shows that this place is also a place with profound culture. Many people came here all the way to see the natural land of Bashu with their own eyes and imagine the current beauty in their hearts.
3.Qaidam Basin
The difference from the previous two is that this place suffers from severe water shortage and is a very typical arid desert. However, the soil here is very special, consisting of salted desert and gypsum. However, the latter is actually the main place in the west of the basin. It is usually formed by some salt, and the process of formation is very difficult. In addition, because there is relatively little water here, there are very few living organisms. Plants are very scarce, and there are not many types of plants.
However, it is precisely because of these strange growth environments that some special animals are generated. The biggest feature of these plants is that they can resist salt. However, due to large-scale reclamation, some plants are unable to adapt to the new environment and are about to become extinct.
4.Tarim Basin
This place is in the northwest of China and is also the largest inland pendi in our country. Moreover, the terrain of the basin here is not stable, it is a form of high on one side but low on the other. There is a desert in the middle of it, so it is a very rare basin. There are many chances for its formation.
Because the altitude here is relatively high, there are relatively few clouds in the sky, and the time to receive the sun every day is relatively short. It is often a drought with little rain, and there are often strong winds here. If you are not familiar with the environment here, you may not be able to stand the sandstorm on the first day of arrival. It is precisely because of the lack of water and few trees here that although there are mountains, there are no plants on the mountains. This is also the place our country plans to reclaim and use in recent years.
